June 7, 8, 9, & 10 (Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs) 2010
You are cordially invited to attend one of our Pressure Measurement Seminars / Open Houses to be held at four different locations in Northern CA: San Jose (Monday-June 7th), Fresno (Tuesday, June 8th), Pleasanton (Wednesday-June 9th) and Sacramento (Thursday-June 10th). Spend the day learning about pressure measurement: sensors, portable calibrators, hand pumps, indicators, controllers, deadweight gauges, software and more. Learn from the factory experts at GE Sensing's Druck, Ruska, and Pressurements Divisions. The presentations will be modular, with each session lasting about 1 hour. Pick the session you want and attend that one, or stay the day and attend all the sessions. There will be a complementary lunch at noon. Agenda: · 9:00 am: Overview of Pressure Measurement 1. Introductions 2. History of Pressure Measurement 3. Pressure Measurement Theory 4. Tools for Measuring Pressure: Instruments verses Sensors · 10:00 am: Pressure Sensors 1. Core Pressure Sensor Technologies Available in the Marketplace 2. Output Types: 4-20 mA, Voltage, mV, HART®, Modbus, Fieldbus, etc. 3. Application Specific Sensors: Submersibles, Industrial, Process, HVAC, etc. 4. Selecting the Right Kind of Sensor: How much accuracy, what features and capabilities are required? · 11:00 am: Pressure Calibration 1. Primary Standards (Pressure Controllers, Deadweight Gauges) 2. Portable Calibrators (Process Calibrators, Multi-Function Calibrators etc) 3. How much accuracy, features, and capabilities are required for your workload? 4. What types of hardware, software, training and services will you need? · Noon: Complementary Lunch · 1:00 pm: What's new from GE Sensing in Pressure Measurement? 1. AMC Multifunction Process Calibrator with Built-in Hart Communicator 2. PACE 5000 & PACE 6000 Pressure Controllers 3. TERPS High Performance Pressure Sensing Technology 4. 5000 Series OEM Pressure Sensors · 2:00 pm: Hands-on demonstrations of calibration equipment and pressure sensors 1. Primary Standards: Dead Weight Gauges 2. Primary Standards: Pressure Controllers 3. Portable Calibrators, Hand Pumps 4. Calibration Software 5. Pressure Sensors
